Verona Coach Fabio Pecchia says his side are in ‘a positive moment’ after two recent victories.

The Scaligeri are second-bottom of Serie A but beat Sassuolo last weekend before following it up with a triumph on penalties against local rivals Chievo in the Coppa Italia.

And speaking ahead of tomorrow evening’s clash with fellow strugglers Genoa, Pecchia stressed the need for his team to build upon the recent upturn in results.

And speaking ahead of tomorrow evening’s clash with fellow strugglers Genoa, Pecchia stressed the need for his team to build upon the recent upturn in results.

“We need to build on our attitude in the last two matches and offer a quality performance,” the Bentegodi boss told a Press conference.

“We are in a positive moment, but I had faith even before the wins against Sassuolo and Chievo.

“Our recent win in the League meant we increased our enthusiasm and confidence throughout the group.

“But now, we have to remain focused on the next games, starting on Monday.”
