Fabio Pecchia felt Verona’s 4-0 defeat to Udinese was a total wash-out. “We simply didn’t play on any level today.”

Antonin Barak bagged a brace at the Dacia Arena, but it was a crash back down to earth for Hellas.

“We simply didn’t play on any level today,” the Coach told Rai Sport.

“Udinese deserved to win with greater strength and energy, the qualities that we were sorely lacking. Having several players out injured at the moment when there’s a packed fixture list is draining us a little, but we mustn’t seek alibis.

“The victory over Milan should’ve given us the right degree of enthusiasm – not too much – but this was the worst performance of the season.

“We must learn a great deal from this defeat and improve going forward.”
