According to Rai Sport, Milan are prepared to make one last-ditch attempt to sign Cerci before Monday night’s transfer deadline.
The proposal is centre-forward Pazzini plus cash to bring Cerci to San Siro.
The arrival of Fernando Torres from Chelsea on a two-year loan is reducing the chances of Pazzini getting regular playing time this season.
Torres is undergoing the final stages of his medical and will sign the contract today.
He is expected to be in the stands for the Serie A match against Lazio, kicking off at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).
Pazzini has been ruled out of that game by a muscular problem.
