Giampaolo Pazzini still can’t quite believe his Milan hat-trick. “It’s an honour to be compared to Pippo Inzaghi.”
This was only the second Serie A treble of his career and came in the 3-1 win over Bologna, his first start for the club.
“I am truly happy, it was a tremendous night,” the ex-Inter striker told Milan Channel.
“I was really eager to do well and haven’t played in any pre-season friendlies, so my form still has to improve.”
Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani said it was “like watching Inzaghi” at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
“It’s an honour to be compared to Pippo. I can only hope to do half of what he achieved in his career.”
