The striker is currently training at the Milanello camp after the Christmas break, but is not expected to play for the Rossoneri again.
“Right from the start when we decided to return to Brazil, Pato and I chose Corinthians,” said agent Gilmar Veloz on Lancenet.
“If all goes well, then it’ll be something we have planned for some time. We spoke with Adriano Galliani and he understood our reasons.
“Milan have understood it’s time for Pato to try a new experience elsewhere. Corinthians are doing everything possible to make the deal go through.
“There are still a few details to sort out between the two clubs, but it is not up to me to say what those are.”
It is believed Corinthians are on the verge of agreeing a deal worth €15m for the 23-year-old.
