Fiorentina defender Manuel Pasqual says “if I had my way I’d stay” but “I’m waiting for a signal that hasn’t come”.
The left-back is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning the visit of Palermo this weekend could be his last match at Artemio Franchi for the Viola.
“One year ago I’d never have thought I could be at the end of my adventure with Fiorentina, a team I have always put before anything else,” Pasqual told reporters at the Dommo Cup.

“I just hope that Sunday is not my last game at the Franchi, because if I had my way I’d stay. I’m waiting for the club, for a signal that hasn’t arrived.
“After 11 years I don’t have to prove my attachment to this shirt to anyone. We’ll see.”
Pasqual has made over 350 appearances for the Viola.
