A report in Tuttosport on Tuesday is insisting that Gasperini will take over from Franco Colomba at the end of the current campaign.

Ghirardi is understood to have already discussed the possibility with the 3-4-3 tactician and an agreement will be signed.

Gasperini is currently out of work, but unable to join another club yet as Italian rules state that a tactician can only take charge of one team per season.

Gasperini, a former youth team Coach at Juventus” data-scaytid=”16″>Juventus, replaced Leonardo at Inter in the summer but without success.

After a sluggish start to the campaign, he was axed in September when Massimo Moratti replaced him with Claudio Ranieri.

Colomba’s job was placed into question before Christmas given that the Gialloblu have won just one of their last seven League games.
