“The team now want to win on every field. He’s a footballing maestro. We work a lot during the week and gather all the fruits of that on Sunday.
“We start with the ball and maybe end without it or play the famous seven-a-side on the field. The tactical part is crucial.”
‘Papu’ was then asked about interest from other clubs over the years.
“It’s true that in the last two years, I’ve been close to Lazio. Obviously I knew about their interest, but I’ve always been very clear.
“I wanted to play the Europa League with Atalanta. In the third year, I received a very important offer from Saudi Arabia, but I decided with my family that it wasn’t the right time to go.
“Luckily it went the way it did because we’ll be playing in the Champions League.”
