There were a series of arguments and players being dragged away from a physical confrontation after the 2-2 draw at the Stadio Tardini.
Despite already being relegated and under administration, Parma were twice in front and held a Napoli side trying to qualify for the Champions League.
“We sent our usual message to the rest of Serie A and it’s satisfying for us and all the employees,” goalscorer Palladino told reporters.
“At the final whistle it was scandalous. To hear ourselves called ‘failures’ and ‘relegated,’ it hurts. Just because we put the effort in.
“Perhaps Napoli thought they’d just turn up and get an easy win. Well, they were wrong in a big way.
“They complained because we fought for the result, even though we’re already bankrupt and relegated. What ugly, unfair and sad phrases to use.
“In the final minutes they were all saying these things to us, but we gave our heart and soul for the fans and the club jersey.
“We are professionals and want to do our best. Why complain that we played the game?”
Napoli released a statement. “All the protests at the final whistle were exclusively based on the continual time-wasting. None of these protests had anything to do with Parma’s effort, which obviously was impeccable.”
