Palermo have cooled reports that Inter are keen on signing Javier Pastore. "I've not heard from them in a year," said owner Maurizio Zamparini.

The Argentine ace was linked with the Nerazzurri earlier today following a TV appearance by Inter chief Massimo Moratti.

The association evolved after Moratti said that his club were more likely to sign Pastore this summer than Alexis Sanchez of Udinese.

The Argentine ace was linked with the Nerazzurri earlier today following a TV appearance by Inter chief Massimo Moratti.

The association evolved after Moratti said that his club were more likely to sign Pastore this summer than Alexis Sanchez of Udinese.

"He was probably just joking," Zamparini told FcInterNews.it. "Inter have never asked us for Pastore and I'm not aware that any of Moratti's collaborators have come forward.

"I've not heard from Moratti for over a year and I do not believe that there are any Palermo players of interest to him.

"They wanted Edinson Cavani in the past, but they got here too late."

The Uruguayan striker left Palermo last summer to join Napoli.
