The Sicilians qualified for the preliminary rounds thanks to their runner-up spot in the Coppa Italia, as winners Inter are already in the Champions League.

Today's draw in Nyon decided that they will face the winners of the match between Vllaznia and Thun.

These sides have already played the first leg of their encounter, which ended 0-0 in Albania, so will all go down to the second match on July 21.

Vllaznia finished third in the Albanian League, while Thun were fifth in Switzerland last season.

Palermo will play the first leg away from home on July 28 and the decider at the Stadio Barbera on August 4.
