Palermo have confirmed that they are interested in signing Juventus striker Amauri for the second time in his career.

"He is certainly a suggestive name," Rosanero sporting director Sean Sogliano told Il Giornale di Sicilia. "He did very well at Palermo in the past.

"He's someone that interests us and we know that he's willing to come, but Juventus are in the middle of this too.

"He's certainly a great player, but, unfortunately, it won't be an easy operation to complete."

The Brazilian-born player scored 23 League goals in 52 games for Palermo before his €22m move to Juve in 2008.

The Old Lady are looking to net at least €7m for the 31-year-old. In 100 games for the Bianconeri, he's netted just 24 times.

Amauri, currently on almost €4m a season, would have to accept a pay cut in order to return to Sicily.
