Divock Origi is reportedly confident about joining Milan as a free agent with the Rossoneri in advanced talks with the Liverpool striker.
The Belgium international is one of Milan’s primary targets to strengthen their attack in 2022-23. According to Milannews’ Antonio Vitiello, the club’s executives are finalising an offer to see the Liverpool striker earn €3.5-4m per season. Origi’s contract with the Premier League giants expires at the end of the season, so he can already sign a pre-contract agreement with the Serie A giants, moving to San Siro at the end of the season. According to the report, Origi is ‘confident’ about joining the Rossoneri in the summer.
His versatility is one reason why Milan are going for his signature as Origi can play as a centre forward or as an attacking winger. He is not the only target for Stefano Pioli’s side as Sassuolo hitman Gianluca Scamacca has also been linked with a move to Milan.
The Rossoneri will soon decide the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who also sees his contract expire in the summer. Ibra has been struggling with injuries this season and is the highest earner in Milan with a €7m-a-year contract.
