Napoli can clinch the Scudetto with a victory away to Udinese on Thursday, but there are reports the kick-off time could be moved and the Stadio Maradona opened up for fans.
The Partenopei had everything ready to celebrate their third Serie A title this afternoon on home turf, but Salernitana’s late equaliser from Boulaye Dia put a spanner in the works.
They are still on the verge of taking the trophy, needing a victory away to Udinese on Thursday, although a draw could also be enough if Lazio fail to beat Sassuolo on Wednesday.
Udinese-Napoli is scheduled to kick off on Thursday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
However, there are already reports Napoli are pushing to move it to an earlier time, which would allow the squad to return to Naples in good time rather than have crowds wait at the airport until 3am.
The Lega Serie A was already irritated at being asked to move Napoli-Salernitana from Saturday afternoon to Sunday due to the fear of crowd trouble.
Another alternative is to open up the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for free to let fans in so they can watch Udinese-Napoli on the big screens and celebrate together.
