Sassuolo have confirmed that only one of Matteo Politano and Domenico Berardi, both valued at €30m, can leave the club this summer.
Politano is closing in on a switch to Inter, while speculation is growing that Berardi could follow Eusebio Di Francesco and Lorenzo Pellegrini to Roma.
Giovanni Carnevali, Sassuolo’s general manager, told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Politano costs €30m, like Berardi. We won’t sell both of them.”
One of the pair could be joined out of Emilia-Romagna by defender Francesco Acerbi, who is being linked with Lazio.
“Today I’ll hear from Lotito again, but the problem is understanding how much he values Cataldi…” concluded Carnevali, referring to the possible inclusion of former Benevento loanee Danilo Cataldi in any deal.
