Torino’s Angelo Ogbonna is a player with the talents to be fighting for honours with a big club, says Marco Ferrante.
The former striker, who spent eight years with Toro, believes that the centre-back is now equipped for the next level.
“Ogbonna is ready for an important club,” Ferrante stated. “But that will only happen if the President doesn’t ask for an astronomical transfer fee.
“He’s a good player, who also has many margins of improvement. I think he could also do well in English football.”
The 24-year-old, an Italian international, could be made available by the Granata at the end of the season.
Juventus, Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina, as well as a number of foreign clubs, are keen on the defender.
Toro chief Urbano Cairo has often remarked that he believes Ogbonna to be worth around the €20m figure.
