Udinese have announced the appointment of Giuseppe Iachini as Coach, with Luigi De Canio departing.
De Canio was appointed in March and led the Zebrette to safety, but he was today replaced by the former Palermo boss.
Iachini has had a frantic season, having two spells in charge of the Rosanero and being sacked twice in the space of one season.
“Udinese announce that Giuseppe Iachini is the new first team Coach,” read an official club statement today.

“Udinese announce that Giuseppe Iachini is the new first team Coach,” read an official club statement today.
“The Coach, born in Ascoli Piceno, has signed a two-year contract and will be presented in a Press conference this afternoon at 3pm alongside President Franco Soldati and sporting director Cristiano Giaretta.
“Iachini, after a playing career as a midfielder with more than 200 appearances in the Italian top-flight, began his adventure as a Coach with Cesena in the 2002/03 season.
“He’s since guided Vicenza, Piacenza, Chievo, Brescia, Sampdoria, Siena and Palermo.
“Iachini will be assisted by Giuseppe Carillo in the role of assistant Coach and Fabrizio Tafani as athletic trainer.”
The club released a separate statement to thank De Canio for his work after he was dismissed.
“Udinese would like to thank Coach Luigi De Canio and his staff for the professionalism and dedication shown and for reaching the objective of safety in the season just concluded,” read the statement.
“The club wishes De Canio and his assistants the best of luck in the future.”
