Parma have announced a ‘bid’ received at auction amounted to a declaration of interest, and is therefore not valid.

The Ducali were reliant on a buyer coming forward at today’s final auction, and it appeared that a bid had been submitted, subject to examination by the administrators.

However, in a new statement, the club has announced that the envelope contains little more than a declaration of interest, and therefore does not comply with the auction rules.

However, in a new statement, the club has announced that the envelope contains little more than a declaration of interest, and therefore does not comply with the auction rules.

“The envelope received at noon today does not contain an offer to buy Parma FC,” the club confirmed on its official website.

“The communication which was received is an expression of interest, and so does not comply with the provisions of the auction.

“Such expressions of interest, together with other communications received by the administrators this morning, will be submitted to the creditor’s committee and the bankruptcy judge tomorrow, so appropriate action can be taken.”

It therefore seems probable that the Crociati will not be able to pay their sporting debt in time to register for Serie B, meaning they must start again from the amateur leagues.
