Palermo have officially confirmed that Diego Lopez has been appointed as their fourth Coach of the season.
Previous Coach Eugenio Corini resigned earlier this week with the Rosanero 11 points adrift of Serie A safety.
Following a meeting with President Maurizio Zamparini last night, Lopez arrived in Sicily this morning to replace Corini, a move which has now been officially confirmed.

“U.S Città di Palermo announces that we have entrusted the guidance of the first team to Diego Lopez,” a statement confirmed.
“The Coach has signed a contract until June 30, 2018 with the Via del Fante club, and will be presented to the Press tomorrow on the eve of his departure for Naples.
“The place and time of the Press conference will be announced in due course.”
Lopez is the fourth man to take charge of Palermo this season, following Davide Ballardini, Roberto De Zerbi and Corini.
