Days after receiving his first Argentina call-up, Rodrigo De Paul has renewed his Udinese contract until 2023.

The winger joined the Zebrette from Valencia in the summer of 2016, and has been included in the Albiceleste squad for the friendly with Mexico.

Today a Press conference was held at the Dacia Arena where it was announced that he’ll remain with the club until 2023.

“I’m happy to have the faith of the club,” De Paul said.

“I’m happy to have the faith of the club,” De Paul said.

“For a footballer that’s crucial. In the summer there was more talk than was necessary, as far as I was concerned I’d spoken to the Coach and the club and they made it clear I had a role in this project. The discussion ended there.

“Argentina? Every player dreams of the national team. Argentina has a lot of champions and I’m excited to be part of this group.

“I already know several of the players, from [Paulo] Dybala to [Roberto] Pereyra. It's a heavy shirt to wear but I'm ready, I have the right mentality to take that responsibility.”
