Chievo have officially fired Coach Rolando Maran and promoted Primavera youth team boss Lorenzo D’Anna.
The Flying Donkeys have just three wins since November and will slide into the bottom three today if SPAL beat Verona.
They had been in their habitual mid-table comfort zone for much of the season, but have plummeted recently with last night’s 4-1 defeat to Roma proving the final straw.
That’s because the score was 2-0, but Roma added another two goals after they had gone down to 10 men.

In the last 21 rounds, Chievo have picked up a measly 11 points.
Maran’s contract was due to expire in June anyway, but he had been at the Stadio Bentegodi since October 2014.
D’Anna is a 46-year-old former defender who played for Chievo from 1994 to 2007, eventually retiring in 2008.
He has been working at the club at various youth levels ever since.
