Atalanta have officially signed Sevilla defender Simon Kjaer on a season-long loan with no option to buy.
Kjaer replaces Martin Skrtel, who terminated his Atalanta contract just weeks after he put pen to paper.
The 30-year-old has made over 400 official appearances during his career and previously played in Italy for Palermo and Roma.
He has also picked up 89 caps for Denmark, representing his country at three major tournaments.
Kjaer becomes the third player to leave Sevilla for the Dea this summer after Luis Muriel and Guilherme Arana.
