Novara will be without goalkeeper Samir Ujkani for the next two months after he fractured his hand in a clash with Roma’s Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.
The shot-stopper suffered the injury when Osvaldo had his boot raised going for the ball during Novara’s 5-2 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico this weekend.
He was diagnosed with a fractured right hand and underwent surgery this morning, which will keep him on the sidelines for the rest of the season.
It is not the first time Ujkani has gone under the knife this term, as in October he also fractured his jaw, nose and lost four teeth during an accidental collision with teammate Michel Morganella.
That setback kept the Albanian international on the treatment table for six weeks.
