As recently as January, Mazzarri’s Napoli were in talks with the Diavolo about a possible swap deal which would have seen Blerim Dzemaili head to San Siro as part of the transfer.
Nocerino was signed by the Diavolo in the summer of 2011 from Palermo for just €500,000. He responded to the move with 10 goals in 35 games.
However, the 28-year-old was not guaranteed first team football last term seeing as he started just 20 League ties.
Nocerino is considering his future after the club confirmed that Coach Massimiliano Allegri would remain.
Inter and Milan did transfer business last summer when Antonio Cassano moved to the Nerazzurri with Giampaolo Pazzini going in the other direction.
