Milan-owned striker M’Baye Niang says Genoa “play like a great team” and he'd like to stay past his loan spell.
The 20-year-old was loaned to Il Grifone in the winter transfer window and seemed initially reluctant to commit to a long-term engagement.
However, in an interview with Il Secolo XIX newspaper, he seemed to hint otherwise.
“Here I recovered my desire to play football,” said the Frenchman.

“Genoa have the characteristics of a great team. Everyone contributes, everyone runs together towards the same objective.
“[Coach Gian Piero] Gasperini showed me trust, he is teaching me a great deal.
“For the moment there's an agreement for me to stay in Genoa over the next six months, but I’d be happy to stay here longer than that.”
That does not reflect what Genoa President Enrico Preziosi said this week, as he claimed Niang refused an option to make the move permanent.
