The Brazilian goalkeeper is out of contract in the summer and has yet to commit to a new deal at Artemio Franchi.
The delay in committing to the Viola has led to speculation about the shot-stopper’s future, with Il Messaggero now linking the player with a move to the capital.
According to the newspaper, Walter Sabatini has identified Neto as the long-term option between the Giallorossi posts, with the Lupi looking to bring the player to Olimpico on a free transfer at the end of this term.
The goalkeeper this week did little to play down speculation linking him with a move to Roma, praising the Giallorossi in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.
“Roma are a very important team in Italy,” Neto is reported as saying.
“They’re doing great things, they’re a great team.
“Who wouldn’t want to go to Roma?”
