Paulo Dybala is playing in a new deeper role assisting Mario Mandzukic and Cristiano Ronaldo, which inevitably means he is less effectively in front of goal.
“Even if you say his statistics don’t match up to last season, I believe he is playing better this year. He has huge potential and I like the way he’s playing,” Nedved told Sky Sport Italia.
Bianconeri director Nedved was asked about the shocking incident near the Stadio Franchi this morning, as there was graffiti on the walls referencing Heysel and the death of Juventus legend Gaetano Scirea.
There had been hopes for a reconciliation and return to civility between the sets of fans, as before the warm-up Giorgio Chiellini, the Italy internationals and ex-Fiorentina player Juan Cuadrado laid flowers for Davide Astori at the side of the pitch.
“On such a day that we go to lay flowers in homage to the Fiorentina captain, seeing the memory of our fans and our historic captain defiled in such a way is sad. It is distressing, a bad example and shameful.
“This sort of attitude sadly is not a problem to be resolved for Fiorentina, but in all stadiums.”
