Napoli target Amin Younes has been demoted to Ajax’s reserve team for two weeks after refusing to appear as a substitute.
Younes did not come on during Ajax’s 4-1 win against Heerenveen on Sunday, despite being ordered to by Coach Erik ten Hag.
“I wanted to reward him for his hard work in training, but he felt that his presence on the pitch wasn’t necessary,” said the Coach after the game.
“I’m the boss and if I decide that he must enter the field, he must do so. I’ll speak to him personally.”

The Germany winger was an undisputed starter for his club, until a knee injury in November was followed by a desire not to extend his contract.
Since then, he has played just 49 minutes in the Eredivisie and reportedly signed a pre-contract with Napoli, although there has yet to be official confirmation of this.
