Napoli boss Rafa Benitez has reportedly rejected the idea of signing Adil Rami from Valencia on a loan basis in January.
President Amadeo Salvo is said to have offered the Spanish boss Rami given their keenness in offloading the French international.
Rami was recently suspended by the Liga outfit for publicly criticising his teammates and the club’s Coach.
AS report that Salvo made the unofficial offer to Benitez after attending Arsenal’s Champions League match against the Azzurri.
Although previously interested in the player, it is understood that Benitez declined the opportunity of making another bid.
Superdeporte, meanwhile, claim Salvo spoke to Benitez to enquire about the availability of Fede Fernandez in January.
The Argentine defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Getafe.
