Naples’ Chief Magistrate Claudio Palomba confirms UdineseNapoli won’t be rearranged while the Partenopei prepare title celebrations with giant screens at the Stadio Maradona.

There were plans to change the fixture’s kick-off time to ease the Partenopei’s return from Udine, but after this morning’s meeting between local authorities of the two cities, it was decided that no change would occur.

Naples Chief Magistrate Palomba has just confirmed at a press conference that the game will be played on Thursday and that the kick-off time won’t be changed. Therefore, Udinese-Napoli will regularly start at 19:45 UK time, 20:45 in Italy.

The game was initially meant to be played tonight, Tuesday, May 2, but was rescheduled last week after the postponement of Napoli-Salernitana for security reasons.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis also attended a press conference on Tuesday, explaining the club’s plans for title celebrations.

“We had prepared everything for Sunday. Paolo Sorrentino and I were ready to go on the pitch, but we had to postpone it,” said ADL as quoted by IlNapolista.

“So, I thought that also, due to limitations for travelling fans, we would install eight screens for each sector at the Stadio Maradona. There is a symbolic price of €5 for each sector. Sales are starting now until 18:00 for ticket season holders and then for all the others. The revenue will be given to charity.

“Clearly, we will replicate the party next Sunday against Fiorentina,” concluded ADL.

A draw at the Dacia Arena on Thursday will allow Napoli to win their first Serie A title in 33 years with five games to spare. Luciano Spalletti’s men could celebrate even earlier if Lazio fail to beat Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday.
