Piotr Zielinski has seemingly decided to join Inter in the summer and now is at risk of being frozen out of the Napoli squad for the remainder of this season, reports suggest.

Last week, it was reported that the 29-year-old Polish midfielder had reached a verbal agreement with the Nerazzurri regarding a free transfer in the summer, giving his green light to a three-year contract worth over €4.5m net per season.

Zielinski and his entourage have been in talks with Napoli regarding a new deal in the Campania capital for months now, but negotiations haven’t progressed, with the player recently refusing the club’s latest offer that included a €20m release clause.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport via TMW, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis could decide to freeze Zielinski out of the Napoli squad for the remainder of the season, similar to what happened to Arkadiusz Milik before his move to Olympique Marseille three years ago.

The Polish midfielder has also seemingly struggled to focus on the pitch this term, disappointing across his 24 appearances.
