Napoli have reportedly contacted the agent of Juventus’ Martin Caceres to try and secure a free transfer.
The Uruguay international’s contract in Turin expires at the end of the season and with no offer having arrived for an extension, the Partenopei have swooped.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli spoke to Caceres’ agent Daniel Fonseca and further developments are expected.

The outlet says that Fonseca will return to Italy next week, when he will discuss the Veusuviani’s offer with his client along with other options.
The report says that signing a new contract with Juve is no longer an option and that the offer made by Napoli got negotiations off to a good start.
The versatile Caceres has only made six Serie A appearances for the Old Lady this season and has been at the Turin club since 2012.
