As such, Rafa Benitez is hoping to rejuvenate his forward line with the Spanish striker – at least according to journalist Valter De Maggio.
Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, the writer confirmed that the Partenopei are keen on signing the Premier League team’s goalscorer.
“Michu is in Napoli’s sights to replace Pandev,” he told the station.
And Gareth Vincent from the South Wales Evening Post has also confirmed to CalcioNapoli that the Serie A side have made initial contact for Michu.
