Napoli are looking to bolster their backline this summer and have started considering a move for Hellas Verona’s Davide Faraoni, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The Partenopei are preparing to lose a key figure in their defence, with Kim Min-Jae on the verge of completing a move to Bayern Munich.

Rudi Garcia’s side are now carefully considering their options as they look for a replacement for Kim, and in the meantime have also started to explore other possible reinforcements at the back.

Di Marzio details how Napoli have started to think about signing Faraoni this summer to give captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo some cover on the right side of the defence.

The 31-year-old Italian centre is contracted to Hellas Verona until June 2025 and would be a low cost option, having an estimated market value of around €3-5m.

Should Faraoni join Napoli this summer, the club would look to send out 22-year-old right back Alessandro Zanoli on loan.
