After Elseid Hysaj’s agent confirmed Napoli are open to a Chelsea transfer, it’s reported they are lining up Manuel Lazzari from SPAL.
“If you see Napoli are playing Kevin Malcuit and hear they’re looking at other players, it means there are also enquiries,” agent Mario Giuffredi told Radio CRC.
“Those who say otherwise are misinformed. Hysaj is a player who can do well in English football, given he’s very physical and being watched by big clubs.”
According to Tuttosport, Malcuit isn’t the only option, as Napoli have also set their sights on €20m-rated SPAL full-back Lazzari.
He turns 25 later this month and has been a revelation in Serie A with SPAL, earning his first Italy cap in September.
It’s reported Chelsea are prepared to activate Hysaj’s €50m release clause, paid for by selling Italy international Davide Zappacosta.
This would allow Hysaj to reunite with former Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
