The defender has been linked to the Partenopei on numerous occasions, and rumours continue to suggest that the clubs are converging towards a deal.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli are trying to sign Maksimovic on a loan that would cost them €2m.
The deal would include a compulsory purchase clause set at €16m, with bonuses related to the player's performance of up to €3m.
This means that the Granata's margin of profit reaches a maximum of €21m, which is slightly short of their request.
Ideally, Torino would like to settle the deal as a direct sale, with a payment of €25m.
Reportedly the deal is being slowed down not just by the differences between the clubs but also by Torino's difficulties in finding an appropriate replacement.
