Spaniard Suarez himself is also believed to be reluctant to leave Catalonia, such is his desire to prove his worth at Barca.
However, MD say the Partenopei are convinced they can land their target and will continue to pursue the 23-year-old until at least early this evening.
Suarez currently has a contract at the CampNou that runs until 2020, which contains a release clause of €50m.
He is reported to have rejected a move to the San Paolo earlier in the summer, but Napoli remain sure they can convince him to have a change of heart.
