Lyon have reportedly turned down Napoli’s €16m bid for Corentin Tolisso as the French club are keen to keep the young midfielder.

According to L’Equipe, Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas was approached directly by his Napoli counterpart Aurelio De Laurentiis with the offer, only to knock it back and insist the Bleus starlet was not for sale.

Tolisso, who has also been linked with Arsenal, enjoyed a breakthrough 2015-16 as he scored six goals and assisted seven to help Lyon finish second in Ligue 1, having been promoted midseason by then-new Coach Bruno Genesio.

By achieving automatic qualification for the 16-17 Champions League, the report adds Lyon are not obliged to sell their best players, including the 21-year-old.
