Napoli are showing an interest in Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, claim reports in Germany.
The shot-stopper only turned 32 this month and is under contract until June 2024, but is looking for a different experience towards the end of his career.
Sky Sports Deutschland claim that Napoli have made an approach and want to see him act as an experienced alternative to Alex Meret.
Trapp has six senior caps for Germany and spent most of his career in the Bundesliga, save for a three-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain from 2015 to 2018.
Eintracht Frankfurt won the Europa League last season, his only piece of silverware at the club.
Napoli released David Ospina at the end of his contract, who had been sharing the gloves with Meret for the last couple of seasons.
This is why they want another experienced figure who can act both as guide to Meret and an alternative if his form drops again.
Where are they finding all of this money suddenly?
@lannapolifan – not like trapp will cost a lot, most like 18m euros – you did sell KK for 40m euros.
Still prefer keylor navas over trapp
They need an experienced keeper. Meret has to prove himself this year.
