Social media lit up over the last couple of days with rumours of Roma interest in the centre-back, but they seem to have originated in England and not Italy.
“It’s news to me,” Mustafi’s father and agent told Romanews.
“There’s nothing in it. There has been no contact with Roma or any other Italian club.”

However, French reports do suggest Monaco are interested in signing Mustafi, who Arsenal paid Valencia €41m for in the summer of 2016.
