Thiago Motta finds Inter’s crisis inexplicable. “We are to blame, so talking about the Scudetto would be like trying to con people.”
The Nerazzurri slipped 13 points behind the League leaders, albeit with a game in hand, after last night’s surprise 1-0 home defeat to Udinese.
“Giving an explanation for what is happening isn’t easy. We’ve got to stay united, shut up and play. Talking will get us nowhere, we need to react on the field,” said Thiago Motta.
“They caught us on the break and won the game, there’s nothing more to say. Now we need the support of our fans more than ever.
“We are to blame for this situation and we’ve got to change it. We cannot make any more mistakes.
“The Scudetto? Talking about that would be like trying to con people.”
Inter had the opportunity to draw level in the final minutes, but Giampaolo Pazzini slipped and ballooned the penalty over the bar.
“These things happen, the penalty wasn’t the problem. After all, we had another 95 minutes to win the game,” added Thiago Motta.
“It’s a shame for Giampaolo, because he fought so hard.”
