Inter look set to end the January transfer window without bringing in any forwards, prompting a degree of disappointment from Moratti, although he stressed Luciano Spalletti “needs to work with what he has”.

“Icardi? I don’t think much can be said about him. He’s the one that has scored more than anyone else.
“He’s playing the role of captain with great pride. On balance, he’s the one who does the most for the team.”
