Alvaro Morata scored as Juventus beat his old team Real Madrid, but warned “we cannot think our work is done.”

The Spaniard opened the scoring in the 2-1 first leg Champions League semi-final victory.

“It was great because we won, not because I scored a goal. It’s two legs and we cannot think our work is done. We must approach the second leg as if it’s still 0-0,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We must put in an almost perfect performance. Real Madrid have in my view the strongest squad in the world.

“I have many friends there, but this was a football match, so I didn’t really speak to anyone. When I go to Spain we can have dinner.

“When I arrived at Juventus my thought was that we had to be here in the semi-final at least. Now we are here, why not push to go all the way?”

Morata also spoke to Spanish media, revealing he made a "pact" before the game not to celebrate if he scored.
