Danilo D’Ambrosio is ready to undergo his medicals with Monza, prepared for his next adventure after leaving Inter.
The 34-year-old Italian centre back is currently a free agent after his contract with the Nerazzurri drew to a close last month, ending a nine-year association with the club.
D’Ambrosio had been linked with a move to newly promoted Genoa, but an offer never arrived, so he continued to look around and wait. Monza then emerged with a proposal of their own.
Gianluca Di Marzio highlights how D’Ambrosio has accepted Monza’s offer – a one-year deal with an option for a second, based on survival in Serie A – and will undergo his medicals tomorrow on August 2.
A convincing aspect of the proposal was that the veteran defender wouldn’t have to leave his home in Milan.
During his nine years at Inter, D’Ambrosio made 284 appearances across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing 20 assists. He was part of the squad that won a Scudetto, two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.
