Monza and Atalanta are still battling it out for Inter forward Andrea Pinamonti, who is ready for a summer move.

Calciomercato.com details how Monza have been trying to convince the 23-year-old Italian forward of a move for some time now, but they’re facing stiff competition from Atalanta, who are refusing to give up. Yesterday, Adriano Galliani held further talks with Pinamonti and he’s confident that a deal can be closed out soon.

Monza’s plans may be upset by Atalanta, however, as they seem ready to meet Inter’s requests. Pinamonti has made it clear that he wants to go to Bergamo and the Nerazzurri want around €20m for his signature, as well as the inclusion of a buy-back clause. La Dea were initially resistant to the clause, but now they may be willing to accept it to beat out Monza.

The newly promoted side, owned by Silvio Berlusconi, are refusing to give up however and they’re desperately working hard to try and agree a deal with Pinamonti. They’ve already agreed a deal in principle with Inter – a loan deal with a €20m obligation to buy clause attached, with a €30m buy-back clause also included – and now just need to iron out personal terms.

  1. why on earth do inter or atalanta need this guy – you have better strikers in your first team and not like this guy will be happy on the bench – they guy is just very very avaerage

  2. I like Pinamonti, he can improve alot yes but he is far from a bad player, this season has been the only season that he has been given a chance and he hasn’t done badly at all, let’s see how this unfolds, our young lads need to play and not be discarded all the time for the usual bidoni
