“Milan are not in my thoughts,” the former Atalanta man, who was targeted by the Rossoneri last summer, told calciomercato.com.
“I am only concentrating on Fiorentina right now and winning against the Rossoneri. It’s not a peculiar game for me, just a tie of great fascination.”
The Stadio Franchi encounter will also be the club’s first since Delio Rossi replaced Sinisa Mihajlovic on the Viola bench.
“We want to put in a great performance for our new Coach,” added Montolivo. “We’ll give our all and hope that the fans will give us a helping hand.
“I’ve spoken to a number of my teammates over the last few days while I’ve been away with Italy and all of them are pumped up for this game.”
