Vincenzo Montella called Mohamed Salah “devastating” as Fiorentina beat Tottenham 2-0 in the Europa League.
The 1-1 draw from the first leg meant Spurs had to score at the Stadio Franchi and they started strong, missing a sitter with Roberto Soldado’s under-hit pass.
“In the first half we were under pressure from Tottenham, even if they didn’t create many scoring opportunities,” said Montella.

“After the break we came out with a different attitude and our individuals caused them huge problems.
“In midfield we had to do without Borja Valero and then lost Mati Fernandez, so that was a blow, but everyone worked very hard.”
Mario Gomez and Salah were on target for the 2-0 victory.
“Salah is a player who, even if he has lulls in the game, is devastating in the final 40-50 metres.”
