“In all honesty, today I’m starting to feel the excitement and adrenaline ahead of the opening game,” the Coach told Milan TV.
“I am experiencing everything that winning Coaches before me felt, like Max Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, etc. It is emotional, I will admit it.
“I expect to see consistency in our football and that the squad prove they are worth more on the pitch than perhaps even they believe. I expect us to play as a team.
“I don’t want to create alibis over fitness levels. We need to be aggressive too, not just Torino.”
Sosa arrived from Besiktas this week for €7.5m.
“He can be functional to my idea of football. Sosa has the characteristics to give his best in my system and style of play.”
Gomez could get his Serie A debut in central defence tomorrow after moving from Lanus.
“He has great hunger and temperament. His characteristics are different to the other defenders we have in the squad and he’ll be very useful. It’ll take a little time to adapt, but I am very happy with his approach.”
