Vincenzo Montella warns Milan it’ll be “hard to give up” Carlos Bacca and his goals.
The striker is being linked with an exit after the Rossoneri failed to qualify for Europe, and has warned that he needs to be convinced of the project.
“The squad definitely has to be completed, but we have clear ideas,” Corriere dello Sport quotes Montella as saying.
“Now the ball is in [CEO Adriano] Galliani’s court, he’ll have to make the best choices based on the transfer market and finances.

“Bacca? He’s a player of international level, it’s hard to give up a player who guarantees his goals. The club will evaluate with the lad, because he aspires to play in the Champions League.”
Diavolo President Silvio Berlusconi is in the midst of talks to sell the club to a Chinese consortium, but Montella isn’t fazed.
“Milan without Berlusconi? It’d be a paradox, but right now I’m not thinking about it. My reference point is Galliani at the moment, we’ll see if that changes. My head is in the present.”
Finally, the Coach was asked about M’Baye Niang, who was impressive last season under Sinisa Mihajlovic.
“He has great potential, which he hasn’t yet fulfilled to the maximum,” Montella explained.
“If he wants to become a champion, now is the time.”
