Vincenzo Montella has suggested that he would be open to a second spell in charge of Fiorentina, where he had ‘three wonderful years’.
Montella coached Fiorentina between 2012 and 2015, leading the Viola to a Coppa Italia Final, while the 44-year-old is currently out of work.
“I rate Pioli and I think he deserves to be in charge for the Coppa Italia semi-final achieved on the pitch with some great performances,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I had three wonderful years at Fiorentina. I had some run-ins with the owners, but then I managed to clarify them with the Della Valles.
“I always conducted myself well and I never met other clubs while I was under contract with Fiorentina, but for now there’s nothing about a return.
“I only went to Qatar for a trip. During this period I’ve received many offers, but none of them convinced me.”
The former Roma and Milan boss was then asked about Lorenzo Insigne, given his punditry role during Napoli’s 1-1 draw with Genoa on Sunday evening.
“As a Neapolitan, he feels all aspects of the club he’s playing for,” he added.
“I really like him as a player. I’ve been following him since he was at Pescara and I’d have liked him with me when I was at Roma, Fiorentina or Milan.”
